IPL 2021: 14th edition of the Indian Premier League will be held only after April 10

  IPL Schedule 2021- 14th edition will be held only after April 10 :  BCCI is yet to announce the dates for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 14th edition. However, the latest England tour of India schedule has given a hint of when it IPL 2021 can start from. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the dates for India’s four-Test, five T20I and three ODI series against England. The two-month-long series begins from February 5 in Chennai for the first Test. The longest-format of the game ends on March 8. It will be followed by T20I series which is scheduled from March 12 to 20. Following this, India and England play the ODI series which ends on March 28. After this long and hectic series, it is likely that the players would want a break before joining their respective IPL franchises for IPL 2021. CSK Members Negative In Follow-up COVID-19 Test

In what comes as positive news for the Chennai Super Kings camp, all  the players and support staff have tested negative for COVID-19 in the  first of the two follow-up tests, Kasi Viswanathan, the Super Kings CEO  confirmed to Cricbuzz. "The first test came negative, there is one more test," Kasi Viswanathan told Cricbuzz. The second test will be conducted on September 3 and if the results of that come out negative then they will begin training from September 4, he added. The Super Kings are the only team yet to commence training, with their quarantine period being extended after multiple members, including two players, testing positive. They arrived in Dubai on August 21 and were supposed to begin training from August 28. However, COVID-19 positive cases in the camp forced them to delay their preparations for IPL 2020, which is set to begin on September 19. IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings Bowler, Staff Members Test Positive For COVID-19

Several members of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent, including an India medium-pacer, have tested positive for  Covid-19  in Dubai, it is learnt. Sources said, positive results came after CSK players, squad members and support staff underwent  coronavirus  tests on Thursday. The Indian Express  understands that apart from the India seamer, who plays in the shorter formats, a few net bowlers, some members of the digital/social media team and a CSK team official, too, have tested positive. The Chennai-based Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise were scheduled to start training from Friday, but it is learnt that following the latest development, the team has deferred it until September 1. Chennai Super Kings' right-arm leg-spinner Piyush Chawla has revealed that it was captain MS Dhoni who decided to sign him in the  IPL Auction 2020 . N Srinivasan confirms that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be retained by CSK for 2020 IPL series in respective of him playing for India. The lack of a BCCI central contract for the two-time former World Cup winning captain has sparked fresh rumours of his retirement in the last few days but Srinivasan, who is the vice-president and managing director of Indian Cements, owners of  CSK , made it clear that  Dhoni  will continue to play for his franchise. "People keep saying when will he... how long will he play, etc. He will play. I can assure you. He will play this year. Next year he will go (to) the auction; he will be retained.
