Tata Technologies, GKN Automotive Set Up E-Mobility Software Centre

  Tata Technologies , an engineering and product development digital services company, and  GKN Automotive , a global leader in driveline systems and advanced ePowertrain technologies, have announced the opening of an advanced, global e-mobility  software engineering  centre in Bengaluru. The centre will leverage Tata Technologies’ expertise in electric and embedded systems to work on  GKN  Automotive’s next-generation e-Drive technologies. Karnataka Govt Okays Rs 4,636 Cr Upgradation Of 150 ITIs In Tie- Up With Tata Technologies

  The Karnataka cabinet on Thursday gave its approval for upgradation of 150 government-run industrial training institutes (ITIs) in the state at a cost of Rs 4,636.50 crore in partnership with  Tata Technologies Limited , official sources said. The upgradation was being done to bridge the skill gap between  ITIs  and the industries as per current standards and keeping in mind the future demands, they said. In collaboration with Tata Technologies training will be revamped with the state-of-the-art infrastructure in order to bridge the skill gap and provide employment opportunities. According to the sources, Tata Technologies Limited will invest Rs 4,080 crore on 150 ITIs, which is about Rs 27.20 crore on each institute, along with five years of free annual maintenance contract (AMC), making 300 trainers in two years and providing free online platform. Tata Technologies Puts Portion Of Its Employees On The Bench In Wake Of Pandemic

Tata Technologies  has put a portion of its employees on the bench in wake of the ongoing Covid-19  pandemic . The company said that fewer than 400 employees had been put on the bench, on paid leave, followed by unpaid leave. “In response to the changed business environment, we are focused on making Tata Technologies a nimble, responsive and flexible organization. Consequently, we have undertaken several actions including optimization of our bench resources,” said a Tata Technologies spokesperson. The employees continue to be on the rolls of the company and the families will be covered under the company health insurance policy till the end of the year.
