Home grown private equity firm, Kedaara Capital Fund II LLP, completed the investment of Rs.567.31 crore, including primary capital infusion and purchase of 6.39% stake, in Religare Health Insurance Co Ltd on 2 nd June. The transaction comprises Rs.300 crore woth primary capital directly infused by Kedaara Capital into health insurer. The capital includes Rs.100 crore fresh capital , in addition to its initial commitment on 7 th February of infusing Rs.200 crore in the insurer. Kedaara’s subsidiary, Trishikhar Venture LLP bought 6.39% stake in the insurer for Rs.267.31 crore, trimming Religare Enterprises’ shareholding in the company to 72.02%.
