Capgemini’s Massive Hiring Plan For India: 48,000 New Employees By 2021-End, Both Freshers, Experienced

  French IT services major, Capgemini whose more than half of the workforce is located in India, has onboarded over 45,000 employees globally this year through lateral hiring. Earlier, in the month of March, Ashwin Yardi, CEO of Capgemini said, “India forms a very important part of our business and we will hire 25,000-30,000 people here this year on a gross basis.” Recently in an Interview with  Business Insiders , Capgemini CHRO Pallavi Tyagi said, “I believe that lateral hiring will continue to increase. If the business plans and expansion happen as we’re expecting then to happen, then hiring is not going to slow down,” The company has no plans of slowing down.   Learnings from the coronavirus pandemic have led French IT major  Capgemini  to start hiring qualified women from rural areas, who are unable to pursue career because of an inability to relocate, as software engineers, a senior official said on Wednesday The company is targeting to hire 500 such women by December and has already initiated the project with 100 women from southern states who are being trained currently. Capgemini Offers Another ESOP To Most Employees, India Staff Eligible To Participate

  French IT services firm  Capgemini , which has 1.2 lakh of its 2 lakh employees in India, is rolling out a new ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) that covers 96% of employees. This is its seventh employee ownership plan and is aligned to development and performance goals. The subscription price of the new shares will be set on November 5 and the entire process will be completed on December 17. Last year, Capgemini rolled out its sixth employee share ownership plan, which was offered to approximately 98% of the employees. The latest pool will comprise a maximum of 30 lakh shares. “Employees who have, as on November 12, 2020, completed 3 months’ tenure with the organisation and will continue to be part of Capgemini for at least one day during November 10-12, 2020 (both days inclusive) are eligible to subscribe for ESOPs,” said Pallavi Tyagi, CHRO for India in Capgemini.   French consulting and IT services provider  Capgemini  said on Thursday it expected double-digit revenue growth in 2020 driven by a gradual second-half recovery, crediting  diversification  for its resilience during the  coronavirus  crisis. The company said it planned to reach revenue growth at constant exchange rates of between 12.5% and 14.0% this year. "We set objectives for 2020 that illustrate the resilience of our revenues,  profitability  and organic free cash flow," Chief Executive Officer  Aiman Ezzat  said in a statement. Capgemini said the sector and geographic diversification of the client base developed in recent years have reinforced the resilience of its business.
